You are now looking east down from the top of Tyndall Glacier, between Flattop and Hallets. The valley is about 1/2 to 3/4 mile wide. The Bear Lake parking lot is about 2.3 miles away, and 3,500 feet down. It is marked with a tiny red dot in this picture. To get here one starts at Bear Lake and walks around the left (north) side of the valley. It is about a four mile walk.
